“Lukey’s Boat” as performed/recorded by Allison is composed by Virtue (Mary Hann) Kean of Cape Cove and Brookfield, NL. Virtue passed away in 1929 and her song’s handed down through the generations. It’s so familiar and loved the tune’s now woven into the traditional fabric of NL music.
