“Our season is underway in beautiful Cow Head in Gros Morne National Park! Come see our stories and hear our songs 🎭 🎶 “ ~ Theatre Newfoundland and Labrador (TNL) heralds arrival of this year’s Gros Morne Theatre Festival!
Musician/actor/savonnier+ Allison Crowe delivers a rainbow of performances this GMTF season: she’s Marjorie in the poignant, one-woman, Canadian classic “Jewel”; Diane in nerve-jangling thriller, “The Birds”; and part of the high-spirited musical ensemble, “Neddy Norris Night” (as cast-member & Musical Director).
“I’m excited,” notes Allison, “putting a show together this year that includes some of the more traditional tunes along with music of the more modern eras – the ’60s and beyond. Via music often conveyed only through voice and transcribed + musically translated by hand, or recorded in studios with often-changing technology themselves, you can see & feel all the different stories and inspirations over the years, as well as the more universal themes that remain in common and blend in to one another regardless of time – with maybe a few ghosts and mermaids sprinkled in along the way.”
TNL has our cue: “See what's in store this summer and fall at the Nurse Myra Bennett Centre for the Performing Arts and get your tickets at https://www.theatrenewfoundland.com/ ”
