One of the joys of sharing music, (Allison Crowe Music manager Adrian talking here), is the physical mailing. Shipping CDs to music-lovers across Canada, across lines+ drawn on maps, o’er land and seas provides opportunity for philatelic fun featuring, even, pulchritudinous postage.
Aiding with delivery of this latest mailing – to Geoffrey in the UK – we find in league: a Blue Whale, a White-Tailed Deer plus a pair from Canada Post’s “beneficial insects” series: the Margined Leatherwing (Chauliognathus marginatus) and Golden-Eyed Lacewing (Chrysopa Oculata). (The latter creature using X-ray vision, a la Superman, but on smaller scale, to show what’s inside the envelope – it’s Allison’s classic album “Tidings”.)
One jazz venue in Germany’s so delighted with a package from Allison Crowe Music, they framed the envelope for display in the club! There’s no return-to-sender, address unknown, down at the end of this musical street!
