“Cross Talk” on CBC Radio NL “connects listeners from across Newfoundland and Labrador - and beyond”. Today, Ramona Dearing, the show’s ebullient host (since 2007), chats with musicians Allison Crowe in Corner Brook and Larry Foley in St. John’s – along with a delightful cast of callers representing a spectrum: “the workers in song”, those who support them, those who love them and are inspired and sustained by live music in our communities and world.
Whether it be the 9/11 tragedy, eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano, or this year’s global health+ crisis, we carry forward in communion with music.
Cross Talk’s host and guests, and all of us, in accord with accordionist Wilfred Cutler, calling in from Ramea, an island off the southern coast of “the rock”:
“It’ll come back. Guaranteed. It’s gotta come back. It’s music.”
